The Great Lakes Drone company demonstrated that the cold never bothered them anyway as they soared above the elements to take the astonishing snaps.
The image of the lighthouse spiralled with frozen fractals all around it set against the snow-white sky transformed the scene into an almost mystical vista.
He uploaded the pictures to his Facebook page, alongside circular ice formations he dubbed ice pancakes along the shore.
Singing snowmen named Olaf however were unfortunately nowhere to be seen.

Forecasters also said a storm will follow the frigid weather, bringing chances for snow, sleet and freezing rain across much of the country.
