It comes a month after the militants claimed they shot down a Russian attack helicopter with a guided missile

ISIS militants claim to have shot down a Russian helicopter in Syria.

It has been reported the chopper was gunned down near the T4 air base east of Homs.

Today jihadis released photos of their fighters claiming they were operating near the airbase, which is used by Russia and Syrian government forces.

A truck can be seen mounted with an anti-aircraft gun.

The latest claim comes a month after ISIS told how they shot down a Russian attack helicopter with a guided missile.

Russia intervened in Syria to help Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fight the Islamic State.
