Samsung S6 Edge owner claims phone burst into FLAMES as he slept
SAMSUNG was forced to recall Galaxy Note 7 smartphones after a number of terrifying reports that they were combusting in people's hands and pockets.
And now one customers has reported issues with the Samsung S6 Edge smartphone too in yet another blow for the tech company.
One very unlucky bloke woke up to find his bedroom table scorched and his Samsung S6 Edge completely burnt out after it “exploded” overnight, he claimed.
Posting pictures of what appears to be a burnt out S6 Edge model online, he wrote: "Woke up this morning just in time to get ready for work and looked over to find my phone had exploded.
"Luckily I don’t keep it on my bed, as you can see it scorched on my night stand."
Technology can catch fire for all number of reasons, and there is no indication as to what caused the phone to set alight.
But the smartphone owner said he was is in touch with Samsung over the incident.
Samsung recently turned Galaxy Note 7 into "bricks" with a new update after a series of incidents.

Nasty burns prompted one American, Daniel Ramirez, to sue the company after the S7 Edge exploded in his pocket.
In some cases Samsung devices were said to be exploding on airplanes, and several airlines banned passengers from bringing them aboard.
It's possible that the problems occur when batteries fail when used with cheap charging cables.
But the Redditor claimed he had been using the standard issue Samsung charger to juice up his phone, posting a snap to the popular online forum.
It follows claims hat a Galaxy S6 ignited onboard a China Airlines flight to Taipei earlier this month, according to .
Two months ago the firm suspended all production of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, halted sales worldwide and told customers to stop using the device.
It is preparing to bring out the hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 in 2017.
A Samsung spokesperson said: "There are no known issues with the Galaxy S6 edge+. Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of the millions of Galaxy S6 family phones in the market.
"Until Samsung is able to obtain and examine any device, it is impossible to determine the true cause of any incident. Customer safety remains our highest priority and we will work with any customer who has experienced an issue with a Samsung product in order to investigate the matter."
