Teenager, 16, dies in ‘suspected drugs death’ and several others rushed to hospital after Fife house party
A TEENAGER has died in a suspected drugs death after being found “unwell” at a house - and several others have been rushed to hospital as a precaution.
The 16-year-old boy was discovered at a property on Kirkland’s Avenue in Ballingry, Fife just before noon today.
It’s understood that detectives are investigating if drugs played a part in his death.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware around 11.55am on Sunday, 29 October of a 16-year-old male youth having taken unwell at a property on Kirkland Avenue in Ballingry.
“He was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later.
“His death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
Back in August this year, two teenagers died in a suspected drugs tragedy after a 13-hour rave at a nightclub.
The 18-year-olds were both at SWG3 in Glasgow where superstar DJ Ben Hemsley was headlining.
They were named as Scott Allison and Marcus Dick.
Police said that the two men did not know each other.
