The boy was rushed to hospital by air ambulance but passed away a short time later.

A Center Parcs spokesperson said: "It is with great sadness that we confirm, following an incident at Center Parcs Woburn Forest, a guest tragically passed away last week.

"This is a distressing time and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

"At this time we are also supporting colleagues who assisted the emergency services and express our gratitude to both."

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.54pm on Thursday 26th October to Center Parcs Woburn Forest with reports that a teenage boy had fallen from his skateboard.

"An ambulance, ambulance officer vehicle and a response car from the Magpas Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

"The boy was transported to Bedford Hospital South Wing for treatment.”

It comes as a worker at the same Center Parcs died after being hit by a car in September.

Supervisor Penny Bulpitt, a gran in her 60s, was said to be on an errand in the parking area as the horror unfolded.

Penny was rushed to hospital, where she later died.

Cars are banned from the resort’s roads, apart from going to and from accommodation car parks on Mondays and Fridays.

Center Parcs in Woburn is the group's newest resort in the UK and boasts a subtropical pool and spa.

The holiday resort company was founded in the Netherlands in 1968 and currently has five UK sites including Woburn.

The others are Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, Whinfell Forest in Cumbria's Lake District, Longleat Forest in Wiltshire and Elveden Forest in Suffolk.

There is also a Center Parcs resort near Ballymahon in Ireland, opened most recently in 2019.

Brookfield Property Partners, which has owned the chain since 2015, is currently looking to sell the business.
