I thought I was going to die after being mauled by an XL Bully – the police have done nothing, it’s disgusting
A DISABLED gran said she feared she would die in an XL Bully attack which scarred her for life.
Elizabeth Pettugani, 58, was with a pal who was looking after her boyfriend’s 18-month-old dog.
But it suddenly attacked her, biting her breast, abdomen and buttock.
The former office clerk said of the August attack in Dunstable, Beds:
“We had arrived at a friend’s house so my friend let the dog off the lead so it could run around the porch.
“But as soon as I went to knock on the door it lunged at me.

“All of a sudden it jumped up at my right breast, then my lower abdomen, then my left buttock.
“I was screaming. It was like I had been shot. There was so much blood coming out.
“It was blind panic and chaos - I thought I was going to die.
“My dress was covered in blood and skin.

“I had just been playing with the dog - I had never seen it do anything like this.”
Doctors stitched up her breast and abdomen.
She said: “I’m going to be physically and mentally scarred for life. I’ve had panic attacks every time I see an XL Bully.”
She hit out at police who let the owner collect his dog afterwards.
She said: “They told me that they did not realise how severe the injuries were.”
A ban on XL Bullys comes in next month.
