Met police officers caught sleeping on the floor at east London crime scene
As they showed "genuine remorse" for their actions the pair were given a written warning
TWO serving Metropolitan Police officers have been given a written warning after falling asleep at a crime scene in East London.
PCs Scott Stark and Joynal Milah, who covered the Tower Hamlets area, were both accused of leaving an a scene in Tower Hamlets unprotected after they left and were later found sleep on the floor.
At a misconduct hearing yesterday, both officers were told their behaviour would likely "bring discredit to the police service and/or undermine public confidence in it".
The pair breached Scotland Yard's Standards of Professional Behaviour under the "duties and responsibilities" and "discreditable conduct".
As they showed "genuine remorse" for their actions and both had no previous complaints made against them, the risk of repetition was deemed to be "low".
