Shocking moment a Yodel delivery driver is caught on CCTV ‘stealing parcels from customer’s garden’

In the clip, captured on Wednesday, he shines a light using his phone, grabs the parcels and returns to his van - unaware he's just been filmed on CCTV.

Then, when he returned the following day, he can be seen noticing the CCTV camera, pointed at the doorstep in Weybridge, Surrey.

The parcels' owner, a 26-year-old woman, has called for the driver to be fired for the alleged theft - but says when she reported the incident, the firm responded with an offer of a "redelivery".

She added the gifts were worth around £120 - and she was forced to buy new gifts to replace them.

She decided to check the CCTV after realising despite Royal Mail's tracker saying the packages had been delivered, they weren't where she'd asked the driver to put them.

The woman, who works in media, told : "I couldn't really believe what I was seeing. It's annoying because I've had to go out and buy replacement gifts.

"It's also upsetting because these are the people you are supposed to trust."

A spokesperson for Yodel said: "We apologise and have launched an internal investigation.

"Appropriate action will be taken with the individual concerned.";
