Man impaled on metal railings in Christmas Day horror accident as firefighters battle to cut him loose
The male, aged in his 20s, was raced to Peterborough City Hospital after excruciating in the early hours
A MAN found impaled on a set of metal railings on Christmas Day had to be cut loose by firefighters.
The unnamed male, in his 20s, was given “advanced pain relief” following the excruciating accident in Peterborough on Christmas morning.
Medics confirmed the man’s arm was carefully cut loose before he was raced to a nearby A&E.
He is reported to be in a stable condition at Peterborough City Hospital.
It has not been confirmed how the man ended up impaled on the metal spikes.

A spokesperson for ambulance charity Magpas that attended the scene said: "We were called out, after a man's arm had been impaled on some metal railings.
"The Magpas medical team gave the patient, in his 20s, advanced pain relief and sedated him.
"The team then worked closely with a Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service crew to remove the man safely from the railing.
"They then accompanied the patient in a land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital.
"Upon arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition."
