London City airport cancels dozens of flights as thick fog covers London causing travel chaos
LONDON City Airport has cancelled dozens of flights as a think blanket of fog covers the capital.
By 9am this morning 15 flights had been cancelled and 26 delayed and diverted, leaving hundreds stranded.
The airport tweeted: “Passengers please note due to current weather conditions there may be delays and cancellations. Please check with the airline for flight information.”
Passengers flying out of Heathrow also faced delays because of the lingering weather conditions.
