Shocking X-ray pics show workman’s horror injuries when he was impaled on a steel pole that pierced his testicles and tore into his abdomen

The metal pole was successfully removed with the help of firefighters and amazingly he is expected to make a full recovery

A CONSTRUCTION worker has miraculously survived after a metal bar impaled his testicle and tore into his abdomen.

Wu Qiang, 36, was onsite at Zhenjiang City, in East China’s Jiangsu Province, when he fell and landed on a pile of steel bars.

One of the metal bars impaled his scrotum and travelled the entire length of his body before resting in his abdominal cavity.

The man’s shocked colleagues managed to keep him steady at the construction site until firefighters arrived to saw off a portion of the 23-inch bar.

During the ordeal, the 36-year-old workman remained conscious while standing with the bar in his body.

He was then rushed to hospital where doctors spent the next hour carefully removing the bar from inside his body with the help of firefighters.

Amazingly, the lucky worker came out of the surgery without suffering any damage to any of his vital organs.

Doctors said his biggest risks he faces now are post-operation infections and will therefore need to be monitored for the next few days.

He is expected to make a full recovery and will be able discharged within a week.

Earlier this month, another worker made a miraculous recovery after he was impaled from the shoulder to hip by a six-foot metal lightning rod.

The 27-year-old, identified as “Afeng”, was standing on the ground floor of an under-construction building in Guangzhou, in South China, when a lightning conductor came crashing down from above.

The thin rod went through the entire length of his body before exiting his left hip, leaving him in pain and shock – but still conscious.

His horrified colleagues kept him stable while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

An ambulance later rushed him to the First People’s Hospital of neighbouring Huizhou City.

Doctors had to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the best way to remove the metal pole without causing further  injuries to the workman.

He was then taken into surgery where the metal pole was successfully removed with the help of firefighters.
