A BIZARRE video has surfaced of a father-in-law at a Chinese wedding snogging his son's bride to win a bet.

The middle aged parent was at his son's big day at the time when a guest apparently dared him to lock lips with his boy's new wife for 10,000 yuan, (£1,180), it has been reported.

It is thought the wedding was taking place at a village in the Henan Province of central China.

The footage depicting the odd game was posted to the Chinese video sharing site MiaoPai on Christmas Day.

According to the site one of the guests insisted the groom's dad kiss the bride and offered him the reward if he went for it.

In the clip the bride can be seen looking slightly hesitant as guests push her towards her father in law before they lock lips for about 17 seconds.

The man seemed pleased with himself following the snog but his new daughter in law seemed slightly embarrassed as assembled guests cheered.

In China, 'nao dong fang' is a term for traditional wedding games suggested by the guests to poke fun at the newlyweds.

In recent years, these 'nao dong fang' wedding pranks have become more and more rowdy and risqué.

Yet people also believe that couples being subjected to public harassment are acceptable.
