Christmas Day murder dad appears in court charged with killing six-month-old daughter

A DAD has appeared in court charged with murdering his six-month-old baby daughter after she died in Bristol on Christmas Day.
Lee Parker, 33, appeared at Brisol Magistrates' Court today, charged with murdering his daughter Aya in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The dad was remanded in custody to appear before the court again tomorrow.
At the short hearing no details about the case where given and he was not asked to enter a plea.
Chair of the bench Louise Perkins told Lee his case would now be dealt with by the crown court.
Cops and emergency services were called to the block of flats in Britton Garden Estate in east Bristol on Sunday.
The investigative team were still at the scene of the family home today, where the front door had been smashed and then barricaded, with broken glass strewn across the ground.
Speaking on Aya's tragic death, local resident Glenys Clark told reporters: "I got up in the early hours of Christmas Day to tend to my husband and I did see an ambulance in the middle of the street opposite the flats.

"But I've only just heard about what happened from my daughter, I didn't know about anything on the day."
Lee was charged with his daughter's murder on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the investigation was underway: "We are investigating the death of a six month old baby on Christmas Day in Kingswood.
"The baby died during the early hours of Sunday morning despite the efforts of police officers and paramedics at a property in Britton Gardens.
"A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
"Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 5216285133."
Officials would not be answering further questions about the incident for the time being, the spokesperson added.
