The Japanese man began to experience shortness of breath just hours after the leap at 4.30PM on December 3rd and later stopped breathing.

He was taken to the Conde S. Januario Hospital for emergency treatment but was later pronounced dead.

Hong Kong news outlet, HK01, reported that the man had no superficial injuries on his body.

Skypark by AJ Hackett, who operate the bungee jump and other activities at Macau Tower, states on its website that clients should disclose any medical conditions they might have to its staff before taking part in any of its activities.

"Would definitely recommend it to anyone!"

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Previously we told of the horror moment a tourist's bungee cord snapped in mid air and sent him plummeting into a lake.

The tourist from Hong Kong leapt from a height of ten storeys while travelling in Pattaya, Thailand.

Staff scrambled to drag Mike out of the water after he blacked out from the impact.

He suffered from severe bruising, swelling around his left eye and even lost an entire layer of skin from his armpit.
