Michael Schumacher racks up £14m medical bill with £115k-a-week care after being paralysed in horror ski accident
Caring for former Ferrari ace is estimated to cost as much as £16K every day
MICHAEL Schumacher’s care bill has hit £13.8 million as today marks three years since a horrific ski accident left in him a coma.
The seven-time world F1 champion was skiing with his son Mick in the French Alps on December 29 2013, when he crashed and banged his head a rock.
Despite wearing a helmet, Schumacher was placed into a medically-induced coma.
It took six months to emerge from the coma and questions remain today over the true state of the 47-year-old’s health.
No significant updates have emerged apart from ex-teammate Johnny Herbert revealing he has “good days and bad days”.
But exact details about Schumacher’s condition have not been made public.
Schumacher was reportedly receiving £115k-a-week treatment after being sent home to recover at his estate in Geneva, Switzerland.
A 15-strong team of physicians and nurses are said to care for him.
