FROZEN IN TIME

Inside incredible abandoned ‘castle mansion’ left to rot with swimming pool, gold furniture & family photos left behind

One adventurer is said to have been held up at gun point when exploring the property

NESTLED deep in the Canadian forest sits an eerie abandoned 'castle mansion' shrouded in mystery and frozen in time.

Built in 1973, the 9,000 square foot mansion once stood proudly on 6 acres of beautiful property before it met its tragic demise.

The lavish fortress has been a home to a number of different owners over the years.

The last tenants appear to have left in a hurry, leaving behind expensive items and evidence of extravagant shopping sprees.

Tossed throughout the home are empty boxes of designer clothing and receipts for shopping worth more than £2,000 litter the floor.

A recent YouTube video shared by the explorer Noah.Nowhere - who ventured into the decaying castle - shows what remains of the rotting property.

He revealed that the last explorer to enter this mansion was "held at gun point" for questioning by the apparent owners, and so he was fairly nervous about this "high risk" expedition.

As he ventures closer the outside of the castle appears to be in good nick, although Noah says its "starting to crumble";.

Outside it has white cobblestone walls, huge floor to ceiling windows and an unkempt and overgrown lawn.

In the entrance hallway a stunning glass chandelier dangles from the ceiling above papers scattered around the carpet.

Abandoned toys clutter the floor including a creepy dinosaur and a Thomas the Tank Engine train.

The living room is striking to the eyes and has golden sofas to match a gold table.

Another room has been stripped of furniture and only a large fireplace remains - standing in the centre of a huge conversation pit.

There are expensive-looking ornaments perched on the mantle piece paired with a collection of family photos.

One bathroom is adorned with marble from the floor tiles to the walls and a mop eerily sits in the corner suggesting the previous inhabitants were interrupted from their daily chores.

In another bathroom there's a bath fit for a king which - to fit the theme - boasts marble stairs leading to the tub.

The dining room is a sight to behold with a large dust-covered wooden table surrounded by fourteen embellished chairs.

It leads into an incredible wine cellar offering hundreds of bottles of fine wine.

However, the kitchen is a dismal state of affairs with rotting fly- infested meat discarded in the sink.

In the basement lies the most impressive part of the abandoned mansion, a huge indoor pool.

But, only festering swampy patches of water remain, and moss has began to eat away at the floor and walls.

Despite the castle mansion appearing to be shrouded in mystery, one person who commented on the video shed some light.

They wrote: "This residence belonged to a Chinese developer whose family had relocated to Canada with their wealth accumulated from a Chinese construction business.

"Unfortunately, the Chinese government imposes restrictions on the amount of money allowed to leave the country.

"Despite their continued affluence, the family encountered barriers preventing them from transferring funds to Canada.

"While their departure was not hasty, they left behind most of their belongings when returning to China, unable to bring them along."

In his YouTube video caption Noah echos this writing: "Facing massive debt from their lease and inflated lifestyle, the family abandoned the home sometime in 2021 leaving behind almost all of their possessions."
