A PASSENGER on a flight from London was escorted off the plane by cops – after weeing in a bottle in front of horrified travellers.
The man relieved himself in an empty vodka container and chucked it on the floor as his plane waited on the Amsterdam runway for taxis to bring passengers to the terminal.
The man, who fellow passengers claim was drunk, took the drastic action as cabin crew refused to allow him to use the onboard toilets, which were locked.
An onlooker said: “It was absolutely disgusting, there were a lot of kids on the plane and he made an absolute show of himself.
“He ran up and down the aisle in a desperate rush to get to the toilet, but the steward said he wasn’t allowed to use the toilet while it was locked.
“He shouted that he was going to wee in a sick bag or a bottle if they didn’t let him use the toilet.
“When he realised he wasn’t going to be able to use the toilet, he went back to his seat and picked up the bottle of vodka they had been drinking.
“The woman beside him used her coat to shield him and then he weed in it and chucked it on the floor.”
The incident, on easyJet flight EZY7401 from London Southend to Amsterdam at 7.30am on Thursday, left passengers stunned.
The plane's doors remained locked as it waited on taxi buses to take passengers to the terminal.
But heavy fog caused a delay of 15 minutes - on top of the 10 minute journey to the terminal.
Dutch cops rushed on to the aircraft to arrest the offender, described as having a Southern English accent and being in his mid 20s, who then calmly walked off with them.
The onlooker added: "The whole thing was bizarre.
"He was clearly drunk and just couldn't hold it in.
"He probably feels quite embarrased."
It mirrors an incident involving French actor Gerard Depardieu, who urinated in a bottle during a flight from Paris to Dublin in 2011.
Some of his wee spilled on the carpet just after take-off, resulting in the plane turning around and retiring to Dublin for him to be escorted off.
The Green Card star didn't face charges and was able to catch the next flight.
A spokesman for Dutch police said: "We are aware of the incident on board the flight from London Southend to Amsterdam Schiphol on December 29.
"Officers boarded the plane after complaints about the man's behaviour. But cabin crew did not file a report and the man was not arrested.
"He will face no further action."
An easyJet spokesman said: “easyJet can confirm that flight EZY7401 from London Southend to Amsterdam on 29th December was met by the police on arrival as a result of a passenger onboard behaving in a disruptive manner.
"The passenger was escorted away by the police.
“The safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew is always easyJet's priority.
“Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously, do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour onboard and always push for prosecution.”
