AT least 24 people have died in a horrific road accident in Brazil.
Another six people were injured when the tourist coach crashed into a lorry as pictures reveal the total destruction of both vehicles.
The horrific smash happened around 10.30pm local time yesterday on the BR-324 road near to the municipality of Gaviao in the north-east Brazilian state of Bahia.
Twenty-one people on the passenger coach were killed, while three onboard the mango truck lost their lives.
Seven were men and 17 women, one of whom was pregnant.
The nationalities of those killed, and the cause of Sunday's crash, has not yet been revealed.

Chilling pictures and footage from the scene show the wreckage of the vehicles and emergency responders trying desperately to save victims.
Firefighters, military police and Federal Highway Police were all involved in the rescue effort.
The coach was travelling from Guarajuba beach, close to Camaçari, to the city of Jacobina.
The survivors have been taken to two hospitals, but there have been no public updates regarding their conditions.

Over 725 accidents were reported, the Federal Highway Police announced last week, which was 25 per cent lower than the previous year.
In August last year, seven were killed and dozens injured when a bus carrying football fans crashed on the way back from a match in Brazil.
Supporters of the Corinthians were onboard when the brakes failed and the bus careered into a ravine on a mountainous road, police said.
And in March, a minibus crashed head-on into a truck in the Brazilian state of Para, leaving 12 dead, including a child.
