Samsung unveils new 4K QLED TV that wipes the floor with the rest
Samsung have unveiled a brand new 4K TV that is set to be the most advanced on the market
SAMSUNG announced a new range of 4K QLED TVs which are brighter and bolder than ever and claim to know what you want to watch – and when.
The Korean tech giant unveiled it's groundbreaking new technology ahead of CES 2017 in Las Vegas this week.
You might have heard a lot about LED, OLED and 4K TVS and rather than leaving you scratching your heads, we’ve tried to explain the difference between them in our handy guide.
OLED was once the most advanced TV technology, making dark colours appear darker and whites even whiter and giving the effect of a hyper-real screen.
But now Samsung is back to blow OLED rivals out of the water with its new range of Q9, Q8, and Q7 TVs.
Using Quantom Dot technology, QLED offers an improved range of colour no matter how dark or light your room is.
A stained glass window like the one above will appear in all it's colourful glory, for example.
The Korean tech giant has also solved one of the biggest telly bugbears to date.
It promises a wire-free living room with an “invisible connection” cable and a” no gap wall-mount” to avoid any DIY accidents.
The TVs come with a new Smart TV hub that remember each viewer’s preferences for music, or sports.
The sports hub will show you when your favourite teams are playing and where you can watch the games.
The music app will recommend playlists from the likes of Spotify, iHeartRadio and Napster, too.
The TVs were unveiled ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, but there’s no word on when they will be available to buy.
There's no confirmation on price either, but with OLEDs reaching upward of £1,200 they're unlikely to come cheap.
