You might have seen ads for the new OnePlus smartphone popping up on tube or bus stop  ads across the UK.

They boast "dash charge" devices, offering an entire day’s juice with just half-an-hour of being plugged in.

And the geeks at OnePlus decided to get  a reliable gadget expert to explain how it all works.

Cue mega-babe Ratajkowski to spell it out for us.

In the clip the brunette asks: "These days a lot of fast charging jargon and speed charging claims are being thrown  around, but what is fast charging?"

According to Ems, Dash charge is FASTER than fast charging.

You can boost the amount of power flowing to your phone battery by using a wider cable, she says.

But often more power means the phones get very, very quickly.

Which could spark safety fears and risk of bursting into a huge ball of fire.

But now OnePlus claims to make faster AND cooler charging because no heat is produced in the phone, just in the charger adaptor.

"The power is converted in the phone itself no heat is produced," says Ratajkowski.

Getting as much power for  your money is a priority for most.

Apple lovers were struck by a mystery 30 percent battery drain furore, which the tech giant has yet to create a fix for.

But it's hoped the upcoming iOS 10.3 update will sort it all out.
