Mark Zuckerberg admits technology and globalisation are creating huge ‘divisions’ in society
Silicon Valley mogul issues frank statement about the pace of change in modern society, sparking claims he may planning a massive career change

BILLIONAIRE Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said technology and globalisation has created huge divisions in society.
In a frank post on his own social network, the billionaire said some people were benefiting from the digital revolution, whilst others are being left behind.
He wrote: "We are at a turning point in history. For decades, technology and globalization have made us more productive and connected.
"This has created many benefits, but for a lot of people it has also made life more challenging.
"This has contributed to a greater sense of division than I have felt in my lifetime. We need to find a way to change the game so it works for everyone."
Zuck's apparent epiphany has sparked claims he is planning to make the leap into politics.
As well as musing on the corrosive effects of the tech explosion, he has also vowed to travel the United States to meet people in every state.
He added: "My personal challenge for 2017 is to have visited and met people in every state in the US by the end of the year. I've spent significant time in many states already, so I'll need to travel to about 30 states this year to complete this challenge.
"After a tumultuous last year, my hope for this challenge is to get out and talk to more people about how they're living, working and thinking about the future."
Last year, Facebook made changes to its stock structure which would allow Zuck to "donate and invest his fortune without losing control of his company",
In a complex legal agreement, Facebook agreed its founder could maintain control of the company if he voluntarily stepped down "in connection with his serving in a government position or office".
