The 90-year-old monarch has not been seen for days after being forced to delay her annual trip to Sandringham and missing the New Year's Day church service due to her lingering cold.

The upcoming Sunday service will mark her first appearance in public and will be held at 11am at the St Mary Magdalene Church on her Norfolk Estate.

reported that she will make a final decision on the morning of the service.

Sources reportedly revealed that the Queen was "up and about" inside Sandringham House and had been receiving her daily briefings.

Just days ago, she expressed her condolences to Turkey after a gunman stormed into an Istanbul club, killing 39 people and injuring dozens more.

She had previously been forced to miss the New Year's Day Service, with Prince Philip instead attending the 11am service.

The royal couple had previously been forced to postpone the initial trip, instead travelling to Sandringham by helicopter.

False rumours that the Queen had died sent social media into meltdown late last year.

The sick spoof claimed that the monarch had passed away with claims of a "black out".
