A WOMAN stabbed her boyfriend because he ate all the chips.

Simon Hill scoffed the grub while at a friend’s with Diane Clayton, 34.

She got a knife from the kitchen and cut him, causing a minor injury.

Next morning Mr Hill suffered cut hands when she stabbed him again.

Clayton admitted assault in Blackburn and got 26 weeks’ jail from town JPs.

Prosecutor Parveen Akhtar told the court that Mr Hill had devoured all the chips, which caused Clayton to see red.

Miss Akhtar said: "Simon Hill ate them all and that caused her to get angry.

"She was seen to slap him across the face before leaving the room. She picked up a knife in the kitchen and then stabbed him causing a superficial injury."

The couple left but Mr Hill returned to stay the night for own safety.

"She returned the following morning and Mr Hill suffered injuries to his hands," said Miss Akhtar.
