West Midlands city crowned randiest place in Britain with the Midlanders claiming 48 lovers EACH
Despite being better known for grey skies and dour spirits, its residents claim to have had a whopping 48 partners on average
WOLVERHAMPTON is the randiest place in the UK, a Sun on Sunday survey can reveal.
The average person in the raunchy West Midlands town – home of One Direction’s Liam Payne and Noddy Holder’s rock band Slade - claim to have had a whopping 48 partners on average.
Closely following on the sexy stiletto heels of the Black Country folk, was the leafy Hertfordshire city of St Albans where the average resident said they had had 46 different partners.
The next UK hotspot is Dundee, where 38 partners per person is the norm.
It came after the Sun on Sunday asked 3,000 people about their lives in the bedroom and their hopes for the New Year as part of our 2017 sex survey.
Surprisingly, people living in hen and stag party town Cardiff had the least number of notches on their bedpost - with just three lovers on average.
In Liverpool, the figure was four and in Newcastle, home of the bed hopping housemates of MTV show Geordie Shore, it was only five.
The ideal number of notches that men and women would like their new partner to have on their bedpost was seven, according to our stats.
Relationship expert and sexologist Mike Lousada said: “I think people in big cities have more pressure to be busy in their work and social lives. Life is hectic, there’s pressure to perform and we tend to move in specific circles of friends and acquaintances.
“In small towns it’s more laid back and there is a greater freedom, you are more likely to mingle with different types of people rather than stay within a specific scene, so you have a great diversity of contact and are more likely to be more sexually adventurous.”
