Brexit is roaring economic success & has proved doubters wrong, says Kemi Badenoch’s department

BREXIT has been a roaring success for the economy and proved the doubters wrong, according to an official government report.
Kemi Badenoch’s business department published a review exactly four years on from leaving the EU.
The Cabinet Minister said in a foreword: “The statistics and successes contained within the pages of this booklet tell a powerful story – of a global Britain which is thriving on the world stage.
“When we left the European Union, there were many forecasts of inevitable decline. These have been proved false.”
The document highlights how – despite scaremongering about the impact on the car industry – the sector secured £23.7billion investment last year.
And it says the 2,000 pieces of Brussels law that has been revoked is just the start of the eradication, with a further 500 planned for this year.
Meanwhile Ms Badenoch hailed trade agreements with 73 countries.
She said: “Brexit was a resounding vote of confidence in the United Kingdom’s future – our ability to forge a path to prosperity as a free, independent, sovereign nation.
“The British people’s conviction that the UK would excel as masters of our own fate has paid dividends.”
