And he’s being advised by ‘dad’ Alan Hickford, the building firm boss who brought him up from his early teens as his football career began to flourish.

Dele bought the stunning new build in an exclusive corner of Hertfordshire last year after moving out of the house in Milton Keynes, Beds, he shared with the Hickfords.

Last night a source said: “Dele is being clever and wants to make sure that he has a series of investments which will continue to grow well beyond his football career.

“He should have many, many more years at the top but you never know what is around the corner and even though he is a wealthy young man, investing in property is never a bad move.”

Dele set up Future Homes Investments Ltd last November and information supplied to Companies House reveals the outfit’s aims are “letting and operating of owned or leased real estate”.

He is the firm’s director and Alan’s son Harry – who Dele describes as his brother – is company secretary.

The midfield ace, linked with a stunning £50million transfer bid by Spanish giants Real Madrid, also shares his new home with Harry.

They were both on the books of MK Dons before the star’s £5 million move to Tottenham, which launched his England career.

Their house is one of seven four-bed houses in a gated cul-de-sac in the countryside.

It has a gym, underground garage, wine cellar and home cinema room and overlooks an exclusive golf course.

Estate agent’s blurb for the development gushed: “Discover a luxurious collection of homes in the heart of Hertfordshire, enjoying the peace and charm of a countryside retreat with the peace of mind of an exclusive, private gated development.

“Each of seven homes has fantastic uninterrupted views of the rolling hills beyond.

“Stunning views across unspoilt fields create a sense of idyllic country life.

"Just moments from the gates you'll find the fabulous fairways of one of Hertfordshire's premier golf clubs.”

Dele will be following in the footsteps of property guru Robbie Fowler, one of the world's richest footballers because of his savvy investments.

The ex Liverpool ace owns more than 80 houses and in his playing days fans used to chant, "We all live in a Robbie Fowler house".

Dele and Tottenham didn't comment.
