Huge six-bedroom house in Bolton could be yours for just £80,000 – but there’s a catch
The spacious former vicarage in Bolton, Gtr Manchester, is going under the hammer next month
THIS SIZEABLE six-bed home could be yours for just £80,000, but there’s one slight catch - it's in such a state viewings aren't possible.
The spacious former vicarage in Bolton, Gtr Manchester, is going under the hammer next month - but prospective purchasers will not be able to try before they buy because the floorboards are missing.
But with the average detached property in the town going for £296,780 it sounds like it could be a gamble worth taking.
According to the advertisement on the Auction House website, where the home has a guide price of £80,000, it says: “The property requires a complete refit and due to the vandalism, lack of lighting, lack of natural light together with missing floor boards no internal access is available.”
There are some photographs from the interior of the property but if the description is anything to go by they may be a little out of date, as there is still some flooring left.
However, despite the state of disrepair the auctioneers, Ryder-Dutton, say that the property has a lot of potential and has already had several interested parties make contact.
Auction manager at Auction House Manchester, Amanda Lamont, said: “This property is proving very popular and there are lots of interest for a variety of uses such as community uses, residential, childcare, amongst others and interest has come from both within the local areas as well as from further afield.
