Are Pokemon Sun and Moon the most difficult Pokemon games EVER? Nintendo forced to make missions easier because no one can complete them

Global missions proving to be far too tricky for worldwide players to ever complete

POKEMON Sun and Moon might be the latest in the series, but they're also proving to be the hardest.

Despite their best attempts, players just can't beat the challenges set by creator GameFreak.

Although the main game is proving popular with fans, the new Global Missions introduced to Sun and Moon have all been failures.

The Global Missions are challenges set by the game's creators, which ask players to join together to achieve on communal goal.

There have already been two Global Missions, despite the game having only launched in late November, but both have been COLOSSAL failures.

And it's not like The Pokemon Company has been shy about advertising them either.

The first Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission was to catch 100 million Pokemon over the course of two weeks, but by the competition's close on December 16, it was clear the task was just too tricky.

Although The Pokemon Company claimed the target was "just missed", the Japanese Global Link page told the real story, with players only managing to collect a mere 16.4 million Pokemon during the mission.

The second Global Mission tells a similar tale too. Players were asked to scan and capture one million Pokemon via the game's new QR code feature, and anyone who participated would get 2,017 Festival coins. That's the currency used in the online Festival Plaza area in the game, which is used to host these events.

"Unfortunately the goal for the 'Find Pokemon Using Island Scan!' global mission wasn't reached," came the dismayed message from the Pokemon Company. "But all is not lost - everyone who participated will get 217 Festival Coins!"

Thankfully, players were at least a little closer to the goal than before, scanning and capturing over 660,000 Pokemon using Island Scan or 66.2% of the overall goal.

The issue is that you can only scan and capture two Pokemon per day using the feature, meaning it had to be a great dedication to the cause from a huge number of Pokemon Sun and Moon players to achieve the mission.

Apparently The Pokemon Company and developer GameFreak is readjusting the Global Mission targets for the third one, hopefully making it a slightly more achievable goal.

Perhaps the company needs to make accessing the Global Missions easier to access too, as players can only take part if they've spoken to the receptionist in the Festival Plaza first to sign up.
