My baby has ‘car park’ listed as his place of birth as I didn’t get to hospital in time when my waters broke

Emily has also given him a bizarre middle name

She said: “I was just across the zebra crossing from the entrance, right where you pay for parking.

“My mum rang the ambulance and they were very quick in coming out.

“I thought I could make it to the hospital, but the midwife told me his head was already out.

“They had to lay me back down there for the delivery and they rushed him straight inside and I followed shortly behind him.”

George’s birth certificate records his place of birth as “North Car Park, Queen Alexandra Hospital.”

And in further nod to the maternity drama, Emily has given him the middle name Parker.

She said the drama in Portsmouth, Hants, on December 29 “all happened very quickly” after her labour pains began.

Emily said: “This is my sixth baby, so at first I just tried to ignore the pain, but I’m glad I didn’t.

“The hospital told me to come in and that was at about 4.20 in the morning.

“My mum took me down.

I'm about to be a granny but just gave birth in a campervan, alone, and it was all planned - it was the best experience

"We arrived at the hospital and I took four steps and my waters went, and he was basically coming and there was no stopping it.”

Emily added: “I reached out to the team afterwards to thank them because they were all absolutely amazing.

“Their quick actions, and the security guards that helped, all of them were absolutely amazing.”

More than a month later, both Ms Kelly and little George are doing well.

The mother said: “He’s absolutely amazing.

“I’ve got him registered and he actually has car park on his birth certificate.

“They asked me where he was born and I said by the entrance and they thought I meant inside the QA.

“They went, ‘Oh, have you got little ‘car-park’ George there?’ ”
