The fatal horror took place on Halloween in 2010 at the family home in Ascot, Berks, while their two kids played nearby.

Tragic Joanna's body was found five days later buried in a pre-dug grave.

Now, in unseen footage from the couple's wedding day, Brown told Joanna she was "perfect" as he boasted "I can't help being choosy".

In a new ITV doc airing on Monday night, Brown says in the clip: "I have to sort of thank my mum and father.

"I’m sure you never thought you’d see the day when I’d get married, but I can’t help being choosy.

"You have to go for what’s perfect."

The couple appear like any other on what should have been the best day of their lives and danced the night away.

But behind closed doors, their relationship was violent - with a sustained period of domestic abuse which included coercive control, isolation and intimidation.

Brown, who was a British Airways pilot, plotted to kill Joanna and carried out his plans just one week before their divorce was finalised.

When family members realised Joanna was missing, Brown refused to help cops with their missing persons investigation.

Sick and twisted Brown then handed himself in - confessing to the killing and told officers where they would find Joanna's body.

In the documentary, The British Airways Killer, Joanna's friend Hetti Barkworth-Nanton talks about a time her pal told her Brown held a knife to her chest.

Hetti said: "She said to me, and I’ve heard it from so many victims subsequently, that 'his eyes went dark, almost black, cold, dark, black eyes'.

"And he said, 'I’m going to do it'.

"So she was saying, you know, 'What will happen to the children?'

"He didn’t care about what would happen to the children."

Brown denied that he had threatened his ex-wife with a knife.

He was jailed for 26 years and was due to be let out in November after serving just half of that.

But Justice Secretary Alex Chalk used “powers to detain” to keep him behind bars.

A Judicial Review started on February 14 at London’s High Court with lawyers for Brown, 60, arguing that proper policy was not followed because of the case’s high-profile nature.

It was revealed that before a decision was made Mr Chalk had received letters from 220 MPs expressing their concern over the case.

The TV show follows Joanna's family and friends as they head to Westminster, campaigning to keep him behind bars.

The British Airways Killer is on ITV1 & ITVX at 9pm tonight.
