It is considered the gateway to Mexico’s Copper Canyon, one of the wildest and most beautiful regions in the country.

Traditionally a logging town, tourism is now Creel's main industry.

One of the regional attractions is El Chepe train - the only train for travellers from Mexico, covering majestic landscapes across the Copper Canyon.
