Donald Trump’s top advisers urge him to dance with Caitlyn Jenner at inauguration party ‘to prove he supports LGBTQ rights’
PRESIDENT-elect Donald Trump is being urged by his advisers to save at least one inauguration dance for proud Republican Caitlyn Jenner.
Some of the politician's aides believe taking to the dance floor with reality star Caitlyn will be a great way for Trump to win friends within America's LGBTQ community.
- Caitlyn once said 'It was easy to come out as trans, it was hard to come out as Republican'
- Trump's aides believe saving a dance for Caitlyn is a 'brilliant idea'
“It’s a brilliant idea,” a member of the incoming administration told the Page Six column.
Besides mollifying the LGBTQ community — wary of conservative Republicans in general, and of Trump in particular — dancing with Jenner could mend fences within the party.
“Time heals all wounds,” one Republican insider pointed out.
Bruce Jenner was a stalwart Republican long before the parent of six (10 if you count the famous stepkids) transitioned into Caitlyn.
“The image of Trump dancing with Caitlyn would send a strong message that he supports gay rights and trans rights,” the Republican source said.
“A picture is worth a thousand tweets.”
