EastEnders actor Aneirin Hughes forced to scrap filming after brutal stag party assault left him with severe facial injuries

AN EastEnders actor was forced to scrap filming after being badly beaten by a father and son in a stag party attack.
Aneirin Hughes - who appeared as dad Andy Jones in the BBC soap - was left with cuts, swelling and bruising so severe that he couldn't appear on camera.
A court heard the actor, who plays the adoptive father of Ronnie Mitchell's daughter Danielle, had been on a night out in his hometown of Aberystwyth, West Wales.
Aneirin, 58, was leaving a bar when he came across father and son Robert and Dewi Edwards.
The court heard Edwards senior, 52, had been at his own stag do at the Rummers bar in the seaside town when the violence erupted.

Robert Edwards began to shove the actor and then his son Dewi, 24, unleashed a flurry of punches to his face.
Prosecutor Rhian Jones said: "Mr Hughes was pushed into railings before Dewi Edwards threw two punches.
"As Mr Hughes reached a gate to the street, Dewi Edwards punched him again to the mouth, knocking him backwards and causing his glasses to fall off."
The court heard Mr Hughes was also forced to suspend filming on BBC police drama Hinterland after the attack last July when he was left with a cut lip, a swollen and bruised eye, and a swollen ear.
Actor Aneirin told police he was distantly related to the Edwards family and there has been a dispute over agricultural land.
He said he believed it was resolved and that there hadn't been any animosity about it.
But Dewi Edwards told police Aneirin had "caused problems for my family" and that he had lost his temper "in the heat of the moment".
The pair, also from Aberystwyth, appeared at the town's magistrates' Court, where father Robert Edwards admitted assault and his son admitted to actual bodily harm.
Magistrates gave Robert Edwards a 12-month conditional discharge.
Son Dewi was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work - and told to pay the actor £250 in compensation.
