Moment B&Q lorry driver gets wedged in tight corner blocking off village for 18 HOURS
Trucker forced to sleep in cab before vehicle is eventually towed away
THIS is the moment a dozy driver got his giant B&Q lorry stuck on a tight corner which blocked off a village - for 18 HOURS.
Ths mishap on Thursday afternoon caused monster delays around the area of Pentewan, Cornwall.
It is believed the hapless trucker was using a traditional road atlas when he ended up wedged on the narrow road.
Friendly villagers brought him cups of tea as council contractors wracked their brains for a solution - before it was finally towed away at around 10am this morning.
Local resident Liz Mahoney, 49, said they have had problems with the tight roads in the for years.
She said: "The first we heard of it was when we saw a police car blocking the road.
"The lorry didn't make the bend. It tried to reverse but the wheels started spinning.

"I think everyone was feeling sorry for him - he had taken a wrong turning.
"We were out there handing him cups of tea."
The driver, who slept in his cab, was reportedly heading to Swindon, Wilts.
