Theresa May ‘to visit Washington NEXT WEEK’ for first official talks with President Donald Trump

BRITISH Prime Minister Theresa May is set to fly out to Washington DC next week in her first official visit with President Donald Trump.
The visit comes much sooner than expected after Trump strategist Steve Bannon pushed through plans for an early trip.
Her trip is expected to last "a couple of days" and she will hold talks with Trump in the Oval Office, reported.
A Whitehall source told the paper: "They are really, really keen to capture the Reagan-Thatcher idea: A new populist in the White House and a strong woman in Number 10.

"They want to rekindle that as soon as possible."
The source added that the trip would not include the "ridiculous ceremonial stuff" frequently carried out by George Bush and Tony Blair.
One of the main issues the pair will discuss is a new trade deal, given Britain's exit from the EU.
It comes as Nigel Farage was tonight full of praise for Trump’s inauguration address and claimed the new presidency marks the start of a new era for UK-US relations.
The former UKIP leader, who attended the Washington ceremony as a guest of Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant, said Trump had given a “great speech”.
Speaking to , Mr Farage added that Mr Trump‘s inauguration as the 45th President of the US is “good for the UK”.
His comments came after the new president used his first official address to promise to “re-enforce old alliances”, which has been interpreted by many as referring to the “special relationship” between the US and the UK.
Earlier today Mr Farage urged Theresa May to visit the US “as quickly as possible” to begin talks with the new White House administration.
He claimed to have been assured by Mr Trump’s team that a novel trade deal between the two nations could be agreed upon within just 90 days.
