A MONSTER who slit his wife's throat was snared by their Alexa after his out-of-breath commands revealed a grim timeline of the murder.
Daniel White, 35, was betrayed by the device as he made his way through his home in Swansea.
Chilling audio footage shows how exhausted the killer was as he made seemingly innocent commands around the house - all while his wife Angie White lay dead in the bedroom.
Police were able to use this data to piece together a timeline of events from the night the 45-year-old was murdered.
The horror has now been explored in the Discovery+ show Deadliest Families.
Angie moved to Swansea with daughter Molly in 2010 where she met White, who was ten years her junior.

At first, he appeared to be a doting partner who was besotted with the mum but cracks soon started to appear and previously introverted Angie became withdrawn as she was isolated by White.
Behind closed doors, daughter Molly was forced to listen to her stepdad repeatedly berate her mum in arguments.
While Angie's sister Laura tells the show: "She did have a black eye at one point, and I’m sure she even used the cliché ‘I walked into the door’."
'BETTER THEIR LIVES'
In 2014, White was jailed for assaulting his wife after he strangled the mum and broke her jaw.

While in prison, he was also charged with rape and assault against other women and handed a ten-year extended sentence.
Angie's family believed the prison term would save the mum as she began to gradually get her life back on track.
She enrolled in university to study humanities as she wanted to help others "better their lives".
But White's control over her proved too strong and she continued to visit him in jail - believing he too was turning his life around to become a better husband.
In May 2021, White was released and moved back into the family home with Angie and Molly.

Molly
But it wasn't long before his mask began to slip and he reverted to his previous violent ways towards Angie.
At the end of her tether, Molly moved out as her mum secretly began plotting her escape route.
Molly said: "They would argue around me and then they would bring me into it.
"I would stay with my partner, and Mum would message me to come home, she doesn’t feel safe, she’d ask if she could sleep in my bed.
"It was too much on my own mental health, so I had to leave.”
ANGIE'S PLANS
Angie planned to move in with her best friend Nic Evans and installed a lock on her bedroom door in the meantime to protect her from her husband.
But on October 22, 2022, controlling White kicked through the lock and strangled terrified Angie.
He then went downstairs and grabbed a Stanley knife, which he used to slit Angie's throat.
White phoned 999 around three hours later, saying: "She's in the house, she's dead. I've strangled her and cut her throat.
"We argued and she locked the door and said she wanted me out.
"All I wanted to do was take my stuff and leave.
"I just shut her up, I strangled her, I ran downstairs, and I cut her throat to make sure she was dead."
While gathering evidence, police discovered the voice commands at the time of the killing had been stored on the Cloud from the couple's Amazon Alexa.
How you can get help
Women's Aid has this advice for victims and their families:
- Always keep your phone nearby.
- Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
- If you are in danger, call 999.
- Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
- Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
- If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
- Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.

SNARED BY ALEXA
At 3.03am, Angie asked the device to turn the volume down, followed by White at 3.16am saying: "Alexa stop."
Chillingly, he turns the device on in the living room where he sounds out of breath.
It was established this was the moment White went to get the knife after strangling his wife.
He then returned to the bedroom at 3.18am where he told Alexa to "turn on the electric light" before telling her "Alexa, turn off the TV" a minute later.
This means there was a 13-minute window in which White burst through the door, strangled Angie then cut her throat.

Daniel White
DS Gillon Neal, from South Wales Police, tells the show: "We were able to trace his movements throughout their house and exactly what time it was.
"It was a gold mine of information to give us a narrative, exactly what happened just during those few minutes.
"What we believe that Daniel did to Angie would have been physically strenuous, so for him to have been out of breath there would have been what you expected.
"It just doesn’t sound like he can get anything else out, with how out of breath he sounds.”
White was jailed for life with a minimum of 20 years and 10 months in March last year after admitting murder.
Angie's sister Laura branded the killer a "coward" after he refused to face the heartbroken family in court.
While Molly added: "It’s hard knowing that he was a second father to me.
"He wasn’t just about to take someone’s life, he was able to take the love of his life’s life, but also someone he looks to as a daughter, he’s just taken their mother away as well."
The family are now trying to move on and remember Angie as the kind-hearted, bubbly person she once was.
Molly even keeps her mum's ashes in her car so she can be with her wherever she goes.
