President Donald Trump accused of ‘plagiarising’ Barack Obama’s inauguration cake – down to the last star

DONALD Trump has been accused of “copying” Barack Obama’s inauguration cake – down to the last star.
Celebrity chef Duff Goldman, who created Obama’s cake for the ceremony four years ago, said Trump’s looked remarkably similar.
He took to Twitter to share pictures of both cakes, pointing out he was not involved in Trump’s.
“The cake on the left is the one I made for President Obama's inauguration 4 years ago,” Duff wrote.
“The one on the right is Trumps. I didn't make it.”

Hundreds of social media users leapt on the post, with one writing: “It’s an exact rip-off – down to the last star. 100% Plagiarism.”
Another wrote: “Dude, it is the SAME CAKE.”
James tweeted: “ For someone who hates Obama so much he borrows from him an awful lot.”
Obama’s inauguration cake was a spectacular nine-tier creation with a red striped 18-inch base engraved with the presidential seal.
It boasted silver stars on the top tier and each of the nine layers has a distinct flavour.
Trump’s cake also has nine layers, with exactly the same striped base as well as silver stars.
Duff, who owns cake shops Charm City Cakes and Cakemix in Detroit, previously said making Mr Obama’s inauguration cake was “a lot of pressure”.
At the time, he told the Washington Post: “When you’re doing a cake like this, you know that everybody is going to be looking at it.
“The more recognition you get for something that you do, the greater the pressure becomes, because more people are looking for a mistake. So you really gotta make sure your work is top-notch.”
