Donald Trump arrives at church with Melania after a big night of celebrations as he prepares to ‘get to work’ on his first full day as President
DONALD Trump was pictured arriving at church with his glamorous wife Melania after a big night of celebrations as he prepares to "get to work" on his first full day as President.
He did not appear to look tired despite dancing the night away at three swanky inauguration balls in Washington on the day his made history.
The Trumps sat on the front pew at Washington National Cathedral alongside Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen for the traditional morning service on Saturday after a lengthy day of pomp and protests.
The morning prayer service took place as tens of thousands descended on the nation's capital and other cities around the world to protest against the new president.
Ivanka also attended the service with her daughter Arabella - who stole the show yesterday when she took some of Trump's pens just as he was trying to sign official documents.
After church, Trump is planning to visit the CIA for a meeting with members of the intelligence community that could be fraught with tension.
He is set for a busy 24 hours if he is going to deliver on his lengthy list on promises for his first day as President.
The Republican started his day in typical Trump style with an early morning tweet.
"A fantastic day and evening in Washington D.C.Thank you to @FoxNews and so many other news outlets for the GREAT reviews of the speech!" he wrote.
He will now have to start working to unite the nation he vowed to put first and deliver on his campaign promises.
The new president did not wait long to set his plans in motion, with his first executive order aimed at one of his predecessor's signature healthcare policies.
Barack Obama had barely left Washington when Trump took his place in the Oval Office to sign off the order seeking the "prompt repeal" of Obamacare.
And just yards away there was another symbol of a change - a bust of Sir Winston Churchill removed during the Obama years had been returned.
From the White House Mr Trump appeared at the first of the evening's celebratory events, the Liberty Ball, with his wife Melania, now First Lady, at his side.
"You're going to see things happen over the next few weeks," he told the crowds.
