A YOUTUBE star has been filmed being spat at and insulted as he walks around New York in a pro-Donald Trump hat.
Joey Salads – real name Joseph Saladino – strolled around Manhattan in one of the new US president’s trademark “Make America Great Again” hats as part of an apparent social experiment.
Someone else walking in front of the web prankster filmed him as he ambled through the Democrat stronghold in the wake of the Women’s March last weekend.
Almost 80 per cent of voters in the presidential election backed Trump’s rival Hillary Clinton, despite the Republican coming from New York.
After initially being greeted by Trump supporters in Union Square a man knocks the hat from Salads’ head as he passes through a park.
The video shows him pick up the hat and keep walking.
But soon afterwards, there is another aggressive-looking encounter.
This time, a man in a hoodie blocks Salads’ path, spitting on the floor in front of him.
