Urgent hunt for missing woman, 52, who vanished 12 days ago as cops find her purple hat & fears for her safety grow
COPS have launched an urgent hunt for a missing woman who vanished 12 days ago.
Tara Norveil, 52, was last seen walking in the area of Pentire Avenue and Esplanade Road in Newquay on March 14.
Devon and Cornwall Police are now carrying out house-to-house enquiries and aerial searches to find her.
Tara was last seen wearing a purple hat, but this has now been found, cops said.
Police said in an appeal on March 25: "Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of 52-year-old Tara Norveil who had been reported missing from Newquay.
"Tara was last seen leaving her address in Newquay and walking in the area of Pentire Avenue/Esplanade Road on Thursday 14 March.
"She was last seen wearing a purple hat which has since been found.
"Since Tara was reported missing, police officers have carried out extensive enquiries including house-to-house, witness appeals, aerial searches, searches on foot and CCTV enquiries.
"Anybody with any information on Tara’s whereabout is asked to call police on 999 quoting log number 361 of 22 March."
