Britain’s top judge Lord Neuberger slams David Cameron government for confusion over Brexit
Cameron government did not make it clear ministers would have the power to trigger Article 50 after Brexit vote
SUPREME Court chief Lord Neuberger blamed David Cameron’s Government for the confusion over Brexit.
The country’s top judges said the Referendum Act that set the terms for the 2016 vote did not allow for “any consequences of either possible outcome”.
Legal sources said Mr Cameron’s team could have made clear ministers would have had the power to trigger Article 50 after a Brexit vote.

It came as Downing Street was forced to defend Attorney General Jeremy Wright amid claims the court case could cost taxpayers £3million.
One Government source said the advice he gave to Cabinet about the case was “clearly far too optimistic”.
