A 10-year-old surfing fanatic came face-to-face with a deadly great white shark after gliding over it on his board.
Young Eden Hasson was catching a few waves as his dad Chris took snaps from some nearby rocks when he had an incredible brush with death.
Eden saw a dark shape in the sea and hit something which he thought was a big lump of seaweed.
But when Chris zoomed in on his pictures, it revealed the mass was actually a three-metre long great white shark.
"When I took off I thought I saw something and when I went to do the first snap off the top I hit something and I thought it was seaweed," said Eden.
"Then when [Dad] called me in I thought it must be a shark because there was a big school of fish we saw."
The boy's brush with death came as he was catching the last of the light while surfing at Samurai Beach in New South Wales, Australia, last night.
It comes just days after a kitesurfer glided inches from a great white shark - powerless to escape due to light winds.
And a Brit holiday-maker captured one of the sea predators leaping five feet out of the water just inches from a group of tourists.
Lifetime surfer Chris, who is a Nelson Bay real estate agent with , was snapping away when he zoomed just as Eden glided his board over the killer sea creature.
"Check its mouth," Mr Hasson told friends on Facebook.
"It's rolled over having a good look at his yummy yellow new wetsuit."
"Eden was half way out and I called everyone in. I showed them the photo and everyone was in awe laughing,' Mr Hasson told reporters.
"One of the surfers said just before the wave a large school of mullet arrived."
