Aspiring actor streams his suicide on Facebook Live from his car days after he is arrested for sexual assault

AN aspiring actor has killed himself in the US after being arrested for sexual assault – streaming the horrific act live on social media.

After receiving the frantic call at 5.30am, cops desperately tried to reach Bowdy in time, Sgt Tiffany Ljubetic revealed.

But when they got to him it was too late.

Facebook users were left stunned, although some hoped the aspiring actor was simply putting on a show and that it was all a hoax.

The shocking video was later removed by the social media site.

Bowdy, originally from Texas, was arrested on the morning of Thursday last week in the nearby city of Santa Clarita on suspicion of sexual assault.

He was released on Friday after shelling out some $100,000 (£79,000) for bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt Janice Banks.

But he appears to have taken his own life just three days later.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has not yet ruled on the cause of death, although officials have said it appears to have been a suicide.

Former teacher and basketball player Bowdy was building a career in acting at the time of his death.

He landed a role in 2016 film Prepper, and also worked as an exotic dancer at LA strip club Hollywood Men.

Bowdy’s is sadly not the first case that Facebook’s relatively new live streaming tool has been used to broadcast something horrific.

Miami schoolgirl Nakia Venant, 14, streamed her suicide – at her foster home in Florida – on Sunday.

And 12-year-old Katelyn Nicole Davis from the US state of Georgia hanged herself live on camera earlier this month after claiming he was physically and sexually abused by a relative.
