Facebook security update will make sure NOBODY can take over your account – but it’ll cost you
Facebook boldly claims a brand new login security for all of its 1.79 billion users will make their accounts "hack-proof"
FACEBOOK is rolling out a brand new security feature that will make accounts "hack-proof" with a physical key.
Paranoid social media users can use a physical key to make sure they have complete control of their account.
Facebook is now compatible with Security Keys.
The USB keys - which cost around £17 on Amazon - allow you to log in by tapping the key after entering your password.
Facebook admitted that around 600,000 logins are hacked every day.
The social network suggests using two-factor authentication at the very least.
A blog published this afternoon read: "I recommend setting up two-factor authentication ().
"That means when you log into Facebook from a new phone or browser, you'll enter a special security code from your phone in addition to your password. That way, it's much harder for someone else to access your account, even if they have your password."
But the company want to make it even tougher for people to hack your account.
Starting today, you can register a physical security key to your account so that the next time you log in after enabling login approvals, you'll simply tap a small hardware device that goes in the USB drive of your computer.
