Teenager, 16, rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the head outside secondary school in London

A TEENAGER stabbed in the head near a school in east London earlier today has been rushed to hospital.

The 16-year-old boy suffered knife wounds to his head and hand in Upton Lane, Forest Gate, at around 3.20pm.

The stabbing happened yards from the St Angela’s Ursuline School, a Catholic secondary for girls aged from 11 to 18.

No arrests have been made and cops have said they are awaiting an update on his condition, reports the .

Police said the youth was found wounded at the scene, near the junction with Skelton Road, and taken to hospital.

The surrounding road has been shut and buses have been diverted.

Earlier this week a man was left fighting for his life after he was chased down a London street and stabbed by a gang, and  a 15-year-old boy was knifed to death outside a school in Willesden, north west London.
