OJ Simpson car chase: When and where did it take place?

FOLLOWING the homicides of the late Nicole Brown Simpson and the late Ron Goldman, OJ Simpson was considered the prime suspect in both of their murders.
As police investigated her death, the former Buffalo Bills player attempted to make a getaway.
On June 17, 1994, OJ Simpson led the Los Angeles Police Department on a low-speed chase in his white Ford Bronco.
The LAPD closed in on OJ after he failed to turn himself in that same Friday morning.
At the time, the retired NFL player was considered a suspect in both Nicole Brown Simpson's murder and Ron Goldman's murder.
He was to be charged in relation to the abovementioned double homicide.
When he failed to surrender, law enforcement contacted OJ's lawyer, Robert Shapiro.
Shapiro provided investigators with the address to where OJ was hiding.
When police arrived at his hideaway in San Fernando Valley, they discovered he was on the run with his former Bills teammate Al Cowlings.
Later that day, they officially declared him a fugitive.
At that day's press conference, Shapiro told the crowd: "I can’t express the fear I had that this matter would not end the way it did.
"I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying we will be able to bring him into court and let the case be determined by a court of law."
Then, Shapiro publicly pleaded with OJ: "Wherever you are, for the sake of your family, for the sake of your children, please surrender immediately."
By 6 pm that same Friday, LAPD was able to locate OJ because he contacted 911 via cellphone earlier that day.
As cops pursued the former San Francisco 49ers player, the chase was heavily televised by several media outlets.
The broadcast of the pursuit accumulated an approximate 95 million viewers.
As the chase progressed, 20-plus police vehicles were on the trail of OJ's white Bronco.
On June 12, 1994, both Nicole and Ron were found stabbed to death at the former athlete's home in Brentwood, California.
Throughout the investigation, OJ pleaded not guilty and insisted he was innocent.
The LAPD chased OJ's Bronco down the I-5 Freeway in Orange County, California.
By 9 pm that same Friday, OJ led cops to his Brentwood estate.
OJ Simpson played for 11 seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers from 1969 to 1979.
After starring in college for the University of Southern California in 1967 and 1968, he was drafted No.1 overall by the Bills in 1969.
Simpson spent nine of his 11 seasons in western New York and was named NFL MVP in 1973.
He was also a five-time Pro Bowler and led the league in rushing four times.
The former running back had two seasons with the 49ers before retiring in 1979.
Simpson scored 75 touchdowns during his career - 61 rushing and 14 receiving.
At his property, while still in his vehicle, he engaged in a standoff with police.
Eventually, a negotiator was able to persuade the disgraced footballer to surrender.
As he surrendered, the LAPD arrested OJ and held him at Los Angeles County Jail.
On October 3, 1995, his trial concluded with a not-guilty verdict for both the late Nicole Brown and the late Ron Goldman.
On April 10, 2024, 76-year-old OJ lost his battle with cancer and died.
