Reggie Kray slashed his wrists three times in prison after being separated from his brother Ronnie
Docs believe gangster was trying to get moved to Broadmoor hospital to be with his twin
KRAY Twin Reggie slashed his wrists three times after prison bosses separated him from brother Ronnie, a long lost jail dossier reveals.
The gangster was left a broken man after Ronnie was moved to Broadmoor high-security hospital in 1981, according to documents.
Prison doctors believed he was “trying to manipulate his move out of Long Lartin prison” to be reunited with Ronnie.
One report noted: “He is undoubtedly depressed and disturbed but at the same time is wanting to be moved to Broadmoor to be with his brother.”
Reggie was eventually allowed regular visits until Ronnie died in 1995.
The secret medical records were found in a Home Office file in the National Archives by Prof Tom Clark.
His book The Sociology of Evil is due out later this year.
