Prison doctors believed he was “trying to manipulate his move out of Long Lartin prison” to be reunited with Ronnie.

One report noted: “He is undoubtedly depressed and disturbed but at the same time is wanting to be moved to Broadmoor to be with his brother.”

Reggie was eventually allowed regular visits until Ronnie died in 1995.
