IVANKA Trump has been blasted for being ‘done deaf’ after sharing a picture of herself in a designer dress as US airports were thrown into turmoil following her dad's Muslim travel ban.

The First Daughter, 35, was pictured wearing a £4,000 Carolina Herrera-designed metallic silver gown alongside her husband Jared Kushner before the pair attended a swanky dinner in Washington D.C.

On Friday, President Trump signed an executive order banning citizens from seven Muslim countries from entering the US over the next 90 days.

The brash billionaire also slapped a ban on refugees, including women and children, from entering America which will last for 120 days.

The ban has resulted in protests outside airports across America as scores of people wait in limbo over their future.

Ivanka posted the offending picture to her Instagram and Twitter accounts before she attended the annual Alfalfa Club dinner on Saturday night.

The exclusive dinner, which is popular with political elites within Washington D.C, has been attended by every President since Ronald Reagan.

Although Donald Trump reportedly did not attend the event following his call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

While dozens of Twitter users slammed the mother-of-three for the ill-judged post, others also criticised her dress sense.

One user posted: “@IvankaTrump On top of everything so wildly offensive about posting this (you KNEW the reaction you'd get), your dress also looks awful.”

Pop star and Oscar winning actress Cher also responded to the post: “@IvankaTrump Your father is responsible for two senior citizens with green cards being illegally detained at O'Hare for 10 hours.Have fun!”

One user posted: “@IvankaTrump Oh, good, the world is burning and families are being torn apart, but you're decked out in tin foil. Cool. #MuslimBan."

A disgruntled Twitter user added: “@IvankaTrump More unashamed displays of obscene wealth representing a complete detachment from reality #sad.”

As Ivanka attended the black tie event, dozens of riot police surrounded protesters at JFK airport in New York as campaigners holding banners saying “Muslim lives matter” and “We are ALL immigrants” filled the streets.

Family reunions were blocked, refugees from war-torn countries were turned away and border agents detained scores of unsuspecting travellers at airports after the ban on visitors from seven Muslim countries came into force.

Among those caught in limbo include Iraqi veterans promised a life in America because of their service to the US military, frail and elderly visitors from Iran and Yemen and longtime US residents travelling abroad who don’t know if they will be allowed to return home.

But judges have already started blocking individual deportation orders – with a federal judge in Seattle blocking an order to deport two people, reports MSNBC’s chief legal correspondent.

Mohammed al Rawi, an Iraqi-born American citizen, said his 69-year-old dad was detained in custody for 12 hours and sent back to Iraq after coming to visit his grandchildren in California.

He said: “What’s next? What’s going to happen next? Are they going to create camps for Muslims and put us in it?”

Several people were actually in transit when President Trump signed the order placing a 90-day pause on immigration from seven mostly Muslim countries.
