Trump ‘Muslim ban’ sees 80-year-old granddad detained at LA airport for NINE HOURS finally freed after family stage protest

AN 80-year-old granddad was held at an airport for nine hours after Donald Trump's Muslim travel ban came into force, his furious family have revealed.
The elderly man's granddaughter took to Twitter holding a sign saying "Free my Grandpa" after he was detained at Los Angeles International Airport.
An emotional video showed the OAP smiling and waving as he was finally released and allowed into the US.
His granddaughter's roommate tweeted the video, writing: "He is free! After 9+ hours of being detained. Thank you everyone for protesting with us."
He is one of several elderly people to be detained for hours after President Trump's ban on visitors from seven Muslim countries came into force.
Abdollah Mostafavi, 80, was released six hours after his flight arrived in San Francisco from Frankfurt.
"I'm so happy he's finally out. He says he's very tired," said his daughter Mozhgan Mostafavi, holding back tears and speaking Farsi with her father.
And a 69-year-old granddad faced 12 hours in custody before being sent back to Iraq after flying to Los Angeles to visit his grandchildren.
Mohammed al Rawi, an Iraqi-born American citizen living in California, said: "What's next? What's going to happen next
"Are they going to create camps for Muslims and put us in it?"
The new US President announced on Friday that all refugees would be banned from entering America for the next 120 days.
Trump also banned nationals from seven mainly Muslim countries from entering the US for the next 90 days.
The ban will also affect foreign-born British citizens, including Olympian Mo Farah, who was born in Somalia - one of the countries affected.
Tory MP Nadhim Zawahi, who was born in Kuwait, says he is now banned from visiting America by the "demeaning" ban.
Prime Minister Theresa May said she does "not agree" with the ban, but fell short of condemning it - saying American immigration policy was a decision for the US to make.
