Man and woman arrested on suspicion of murder after ‘burned body’ found in house in Bradford

TWO people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a “burned body” was discovered at a suburban house.
Emergency services were called to a “serious, ongoing incident” in Shetland Close, Bradford, shortly before 4pm on Tuesday.
They discovered the body of a man at a property on a quiet residential housing estate.
In a brief statement, West Yorkshire Police confirmed that two people had been arrested.
A spokesman said: “Police were called to an address on Shetland Close at 3.57pm today (16 April) to a report of a serious ongoing incident.
“A man was found deceased, and a man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the matter.
“Initial enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of what has occurred, and we can promise the incident will be fully investigated.”
Pictures show charring in the garden of the property with fire damage visible to some of the ground floor windows.

Fire crews, police and paramedics were all sent to the scene with neighbours telling that they had never seen such a large emergency service presence before.
One said: “Every kind of emergency service has attended since around 3.30pm this afternoon.”
Locals said they were made to abandon their cars at the end of the road with a police cordon set to remain in place for several hours.
Labour local councillor Si Cunningham said: “This has been a very shocking incident for what is a very quiet and peaceful community.
“We urge anyone with any information that may assist police to call 101.”
